Jamia Urdu is one of the premier educational institutions in India, recognized by the National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions (NCMEI). Established in 1939 to educate the most disadvantaged sections of society, Jamia Urdu today offers courses in over 800 learning centers around the world. Many government institutions, boards, universities, and educational institutions accept the courses of Jamia Urdu Aligarh, which are considered equivalent to the certification of the respective State Boards.

Recognised / Equivalent / Quality School Education

JUA aims to provide quality school education while strengthening the social fabric of democracy and contributing towards the

universalisation of school education. JUA has the authority to conduct examinations and issue its own certificates. The

certificates provided by JUA are equivalent to those issued by any other Board of School Education and create pathways for

further studies. Successful students of JUA can apply to recognised national and international higher education institutions for

further studies.

FREEDOM TO LEARN WITH FLEXIBILITY

JUA works on the principle of freedom to learn and flexibility, without restrictions of time, place, or pace of learning, as well as

choice of subjects.

Age Limit:

There is no upper age limit for admission. However, the minimum

age for enrolment is 14 years for Adeeb / 10th / Secondary level programmes,

and 17 years for Adeeb E Mahir / Plus Two / Senior Secondary school

programmes.

Choice of Medium of Instruction:

The programmes are available in Urdu and English.

Learning Support:

Learning support is provided through high-quality self-learning study materials in multimedia formats. Tutorial assistance is offered

by tutors at study centres located in recognised institutions.

Flexibility in Examinations:

Examinations are held once a year in January/February and June/July. A learner has up to five chances within five

years to pass all subjects and qualify for the certificate. Learners must

appear for all the subjects they have opted for in their first attempt.

Thereafter, they may appear for one or more subjects in subsequent

attempts. However, learners are advised to complete all subjects in a single

attempt or in as few attempts as possible.
